Privacy Policy – Hira Card

Hira Card ("we", "our", or "us") is a free Android app that helps diamond polishing workers (karigar) track their daily earnings, expenses, and card history. This Privacy Policy explains what data is collected and how it is used.

1. Data Stored on Your Device

All data you enter in the app (earnings, expenses, categories, your name) is stored only on your device using a local database. This data is never uploaded to any server owned by us.

2. Google Drive Backup

Hira Card offers an optional Google Drive Backup feature. When you enable it:

• Your app data (work entries, expenses, categories, settings) is backed up to your own Google Drive account in a private App Data folder.
• This folder is not visible in Google Drive and cannot be accessed by anyone except Hira Card on your device.
• We do not have access to your backup data at any time.
• Backups are encrypted in transit by Google's infrastructure.
• You can delete your backup at any time: Google Drive → Settings → Manage Apps → Hira Card → Delete Data.

3. Google Sign-In

To use the backup feature, the app uses Google Sign-In. We request access to:

• Your name and email — displayed in the app menu for your convenience. Not stored on any server.
• Drive App Data scope — used only to store and retrieve your backup files in your private App Data folder.

You can revoke access at any time from your Google Account settings: myaccount.google.com/permissions

4. Third-Party Services

The app uses the following third-party services that may collect data:

Google AdMob

We use Google AdMob to display advertisements. AdMob may collect your Advertising ID and device information to serve personalized ads. You can manage your ad preferences in the app under Settings → Ad Preferences / Consent.

Google Firebase Analytics

We use Firebase Analytics to understand how the app is used (e.g., which screens are visited). This data is anonymous and aggregated. No personally identifiable information is collected.

5. Advertising ID

With your consent, the app uses your device's Advertising ID (provided by Google) to show relevant ads. You can reset or opt out of personalized ads in your device settings under Google → Ads.

6. Children's Privacy

This app is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

7. Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or share your personal data with any third parties, except as described above (AdMob, Firebase, and Google Drive — all Google services). Your backup data is stored exclusively in your own Google account and is never accessible to us.

8. Data Security

Your earnings and expense data lives only on your phone. Backups are stored in your own private Google Drive. We recommend enabling your device's screen lock to protect this data.

9. Your Rights (GDPR – EU/EEA Users)

If you are in the EU or EEA, you have the right to:

• Know what data is collected about you
• Withdraw consent for personalized ads at any time (Settings → Ad Preferences / Consent)
• Revoke Google Sign-In access at any time from your Google Account settings
• Delete your Drive backup at any time from Google Drive → Manage Apps → Hira Card
• Request deletion of any data held by Google services (via Google's account settings)

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
